City of Portland - Office of Economic Opportunity
The City of Portland and pro bono lawyers hold an immigration legal aid clinic on the second Thursday of each month from 12-5pm. Individuals may sign up for one time slot of one hour. Varying immigration situations and cases will be heard except for asylum.

Maine Equal Justice provides assistance to Mainers who need help to meet basic needs like housing, food, and healthcare. You can call or fill out their online form to see if you may be able to get support through MaineCare, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance, SNAP (Food Assistance), or other public assistance. Their website has information on public benefits available for some immigrants and how to find out if you qualify.

This means they represent people whose rights have been violated or who have been discriminated against based on their disability. The Maine Human Rights Commission is the State agency charged with the responsibility of enforcing Maine’s anti-discrimination laws.
