Advocates for Justice

Become an Advocate for Justice today and make a sustained commitment to due process, access to justice, and civil rights protections for all Mainers.

Advocates for Justice, by making a monthly gift to ILAP, are helping Mainers navigate the increasingly unjust immigration system we have now while pushing for a fairer and more compassionate immigration system for the future. Together, we ensure all Mainers have access to the rights and protections they’re entitled to, regardless of citizenship or immigration status, and create a brighter future for the state.

WHY GIVE MONTHLY?

Monthly giving provides essential ongoing support that helps ILAP plan for organizational stability, respond quickly to emerging needs and, when necessary, reallocate resources to meet shifting priorities. In the current immigration climate, having this strength and flexibility has become more important than ever:

  • It’s the most effective way to make a difference, giving us the resources and flexibility we need to respond quickly to shifting immigration legal needs as they arise

  • You’ll join a community of dedicated donors – and receive an Advocacy Starter Kit with more ways to take action, updates about the impact of your gift, and an end-of-year receipt making it easy to claim your tax deduction

  • Your commitment will continue throughout the length of our cases, which can take months or years to reach a final decision with immigration

  • It’s the easiest and most convenient way to stand up for the issues that matter to you while staying on budget

  • You can change or cancel your gift with a simple phone call if your situation changes for any reason
