On the 10th anniversary of DACA, June 15, 2022, take action for Maine’s DACA recipients and demand a path to citizenship now!

Action 1: Call your Representatives!

INSTRUCTIONS: Call your Congressional Representative and two U.S. Senators today! Find their contact information here. Use the sample script below or craft your own message. 

Sample Script: My name is [YOUR NAME] and I am [SENATOR OR REPRESENTATIVE]’s constituent living at [YOUR ADDRESS]. I’m calling today on the tenth anniversary of the DACA program to call for a pathway to citizenship now for Maine’s DACA recipients, Temporary Protected Status holders, farmworkers, and other undocumented people. It is past time to act for Maine’s undocumented young people and to give them the stability and security of U.S. citizenship. Our whole state will benefit from their contributions to our communities, economy, and more. Please publicly state your support for citizenship for Maine’s Dreamers today and take action to finally get this done.  

Action 2: SPEAK OUT ON SOCIAL MEDIA FROM NOON - 1 PM!

INSTRUCTIONS: Join the #MainersForDreamers Social Media Storm from Noon to 1 pm ET on June 15. Post at least three times during the course of the hour (or more!). Use our #MainersForDreamers Day of Action toolkit with sample posts and graphics to call for citizenship for Maine’s DACA recipients now!
