Immigration Law and Policy in 2024: Impact in Maine and Beyond 

Immigration has been a hot topic of debate again this year and it can be difficult to understand the laws and policies behind the headlines. 

Join us on October 8th to learn from ILAP’s expert staff about current immigration policies, the state of asylum, and other pressing immigration legal needs across the state. We’ll also share how these issues are impacting Maine families and communities, and how ILAP is responding.

    The panelists will discuss current immigration policies, the state of asylum, and other pressing immigration legal needs across the state. They will also address how these issues are impacting Maine families and communities, and how ILAP is responding.

    The panelists will end by answering questions submitted prior to the event. You can submit a question when you register!

  • First Parish is located in downtown Portland, nestled between Monument Square and Merrill Auditorium. There is metered parking payable with the Passport Parking App in the blocks surrounding the church, which is free after 6pm, and several parking garages nearby at Monument Square, Temple Street, and the Public Market.  There are also a few dedicated handicapped parking spaces near the church gates.
