Introducing The Resilience Circle

A Business Partnership for a Stronger Maine

Maine’s workforce and economy are deeply interconnected with immigration policy. Across industries, immigrants are business owners and essential workers in Maine’s economy. When legal uncertainty disrupts immigrant communities, the impact is felt in workplaces, affecting staffing stability and long-term planning.

The ILAP Resilience Circle is a new initiative bringing together businesses that recognize both a responsibility and a clear stake in ensuring immigrants can live and work with stability, dignity, and legal protection. Our goal is to build a statewide network of companies committed to workforce stability, community strength, and a stronger, more prosperous future for Maine’s immigrant communities and economy.

The Resilience Circle is a values-aligned partnership that engages business leaders through recognition, relationship-building, and dialogue. Members will be invited to business roundtables covering what’s happening in the overall immigration landscape in Maine, what ILAP is working on, and ways businesses can support immigrant communities.

Participating businesses are also publicly recognized in ILAP’s communications and annual report, with opportunities for visibility among ILAP’s network across the state.

There is no minimum to join. Businesses of all sizes and levels of support are welcome in the Resilience Circle. By joining, businesses affirm that a stable workforce and a strong, inclusive economy go hand in hand. We invite business leaders who share this commitment to connect with us at contact@ilapmaine.org and learn more.
